Creator of the first industrial robot arm dies at 99

Robotic Arm Manufacturing

According to Engadget, George Devol, the creator of the first programmable robotic arm, died last Thursday night in his home. The first robotic arms were used to stack hot cast components from molds in a GE automobile plant. Today, factories all over, and in all different industries use some sort of programmable robotics to manufacture goods.

We salute you, George, and I am sure our robotic overlords thank you when we reach judgement day!
